Listen, and then look

02 Jun

I lost my orientation,

So was my whereabouts.

Listening, I heard chatting Children.

Looking at my watch, noon it read.

Lunchtime, playtime for children

It was an exciting day –

Lots of sunshine, for outside fun

I listened attentive again,

Following the bearing of the chatting,

I found an empty playground.

Next I found hope, a school.

Excitement, relieved, I was.

Listen, I found my way

Listen, don’t ignore sounds.

The chatting, exciting birds

Have something to say, show,

Look, far and near,

There’s a lot to see and seek

Listen, silent, even in silence.
