Pray, don’t prey

26 Apr

Amazing watching a dragonfly metamorphoses

From an egg into an aquatic, active naiad

Then to an amazing little, dazzling dragonfly

One of the world’s fastest flying insects.

Feeding on flies, it flights are amazing.

As I was praying and admiring this wonder

Of creations, I perceived a predator.

A snake swimming just beneath the larva

Salivating, eagerly waiting to prey on the insect.

Darkness instead swallowed up the starving snake

At dawn, the dragonfly saw light, life.

It sophisticated wings vibrated with winds

In six directions, it propelled itself

Off it flew into the wild, wide world,

Just before it got caught as prey

Amazing life, with amazing creatures
